This is piece of pure beauty! Maciej Grzywacz guitar, subdued, unobtrusive, elegant reminds me great Jim Hall style but there is no question of any imitation here, just common, cool jazz inspiration. Apart from these fine cool chops Grzywacz also composed great tunes, neither too chaotic or too predictable, they provide enough structure for listener not to be lost in improvising meanderings of all four players taking part in this fantastic session. Apart from Grzywacz this recording features American trumpeter Avishai Cohen flying effortlessly even in the highest registers and being dream-like partner for guitar of the leader. Dialogues of those two go unhurried, deep, resonant constituting the core of this music which however is superbly augmented by top quality rhythm section consisting of arguably best Polish double-bassist and drummer: Piotr Lemańczyk and Krzysztof Gradziuk respectively. Recommended!
